Whoa mama! This month has been all about deadlines. I finished two pieces and have a few days before I need to start on another. I'm just grateful to have some work!

Of course, Gil and I went to the show. :)

This was like four feet tall! LOL Eye-catching, for sure.

Phil and Curly, pickin and fiddlin

MST was a lot of fun, but the real treat of the evening was Benny Galloway (on the right) and a guy called Blackdog. Phil got to play with them! :) Benny/Burle has written songs for Yonder Mountain String Band, and is a real-life mountain man storyteller. I introduced myself afterwards and told him that the guy in the poster was supposed to be like a representation of him. Ohhh, I'm such a dork! I don't think I weirded him out too much, but at least maybe I made an impression? ;) Next up was~

Look for a while at the China Cat sunflower
proud-walking jingle in the midnight sun
copper-dome bodhi drip a silver kimono
like a crazy-quilt stargown
through a dream night wind

I used this for a Pranksters poster~ they're playing June 5&6 near Vail and the 7th in Glenwood Springs. It's going to be a band family vacation! :) Cat finished school today, but Sam has a few more weeks left. They're both sparring in a Tae Kwon Do tournament on Saturday. It's kind of funny to watch them practice-fight each other. >:) Last weekend, we turned the kids' old sandbox into a vegetable and herb garden (I'll take pictures later, it looks a little puny now)~ it's finally time to plant! Hummingbirds are humming. Indian paintbrush, false lupine, and some purple flowers(?) are blooming on the hill, waving and nodding "yesssss, come on up here..." It's summertime! :)

Hey you!:) I am soooo behind on blogs lately..waah! (Wish I could say it was because I was snowed under with painting! lol)

These are gorgeous photos. I love WIldflowers too, hehe...in fact I have a garden full of pretty flowering weeds that I adore :) The more daisies in the grass the better.
And you have a veg patch too? Can't wait for photos! Mine is coming along well...will take some more pics when it's filled out a bit. :)
Hope you guys are well & enjoying your summer! (The gig looked like fun)
