Friday morning, a nine-or-so-inch blanket of snow twinkled under a big blue Colorado sky. Wind blew at the tips of tall grasses and jingled icicles in the pines.

I climbed to the top of the hill for a look around, then dug out the driveway and sidewalk. Then it was time to play!

I made a couple of runs, but Cat and Sam stayed out almost all day. I did a little housework inside, dispensing hot cocoa as necessary. Cat made a tiny snowman and Gretel chased snowballs.

It was just one of those sweet golden days that you want to remember forever. That evening, a perfect crescent moon hung over the Little Town like a cup full of blessings.

It warmed up over the weekend, melting most of it all. And then today...

It looks like a wet week ahead. At least it will make for a beautiful spring! Today I plan on curling up in my chair by the fire to start an Easter drawing. This March came in like a lamb and out like a lion~
