This morning was the first frost of the season. Now it's clear, windy and pretty warm, but it's supposed to be cold and rainy this weekend. I've been drinking hot apple cider instead of tea this week and have almost finished Hawthorne's The House of the Seven Gables. Next up is Dracula~ it's October all around! New drawing~

His helmet and pants look like a stag beetle. Maybe he needs a pair of beetle legs that come out of the sides of his pants? Creepy crawly!

:) He's the inspiration, but it's icking me out to look at the reference photo. When I was a kid, if I knew there was a picture of a snake on the next page of a book (I had this series of Nat. Geo. books), I would turn the page at the very edge of the corner so I wouldn't touch even a picture of one. LOL
