CREEPY CRAWLY
4x6 inches, acrylic & ink on illustration board

I finished this little guy a couple of days ago. The snake came out better than I thought it would, and I'm really trying to break the habit of outlining everything, so I left the mushrooms alone. The threads of the web could have been thinner~ maybe I could have used a gel pen? I also made these spookies for the back yard~

Their bodies are cheesecloth and they're on dowels, so they blow and look like they're dancing in the wind. The spirits must have been feeling mischievous, because everything that could have gone wrong with this project, did. Guess how much head-size white styrofoam balls cost? Go ahead, guess... $15 each at Hobby Lobby! And I needed five! So I used plastic trick-or-treat pumpkins and painted them white. Then I used cheesecloth instead of sheets, so I had to sew the strips together so they were wide enough, then the dowels I glued to the heads were too thin, so I taped thicker ones to those. Anyway, they look so cool now and it was worth it all to see them last night dancing in the moonlight. Have a great weekend!

And the new painting is so lovely...I like your outlines images, but it's always fun to experiment isn't it?
And the Mushrooms do look good!:) xx

Hehe, thank you! :) I just worry that too much outlining sometimes looks like a coloring book. But I guess that would be okay too? :)
